Geometry 2.4.2 is an application which was designed for math teachers to easily calculate the volume and surface area of common geometric figures. This software is distributed as freeware. I am not responsible for any damage that this program does to your system. I have tested this software on several machines using Mac OS 7.6 and higher : however, you are using this at your own risk. I am new to designing software with a graphical user interface. I am sure that this program is not perfect. You may edit the program or provide it to anyone who may find it useful. This software was designed using RealBasic Version 2.
I must give special thanks to Joe Fields for his input on some of the source code that was used in the software. I must also thank Leslie Hash for her input in creating algorithms for finding surface area and volume. The logo for Geometry 1.0 was designed by Kelly Strohmeyer. Special Thanks to Mike Wysocki for his input in developing algorithms for metric/standard conversions. I also need to thank Tom Erwin (Author of TrackAddicti1.2) for the source code for using Disclosure Triangles.
Special thanks to Cariappa Annaiah for his suggestion to add the Command-W command and for linking my URL to the default browser. Great appreciation goes to William Smith whose comprehensive test of Geometry 1.0 uncovered a mistake that was overlooked in calculating the area of a circle. Also, as of Version 1.1 - all use of 22/7 for Pi shall stop. I promise. Thanks for the alternatives. I have to thank Gavin Shapiro for his algorithm for finding the number of diagonals of a regular polygon.
There are both Windows and DOS versions of this Geometry software. If you have any questions about the software or would like to report a bug, send me an e-mail at teast@mac.com. Thanks to all who are dedicated to the teaching of mathematics. You are the greatest. God bless you and enjoy the program.

History of Versions
New in Version 2.4.2
Corrected a problem with the negatives and positives displaying correctly in the slope calculation.
The slope calculation also reduces automatically now and is much faster.
New in Version 2.4.1
Added Slope calculation with a fraction reducer (limited to integers).
Add Area of Sectors in the Arcs Section
Cleaned up some of the source code in the the calcuations of areas and volumes.
Corrected a problem that caused a random NilObject Exception Error when opening the rectangle window.
Added reset buttons to all windows containing more than 2 Edit Fields.
Replaced Exit Button with Slope Formula button on main page.
New in Version 2.4
Added calculations for Sine, Cosine, Tangent, Law of Sines, Law of Cosines and the Pythagorean Theorem.
Corrected About Box Version Number
Corrected some missing pictures in the Arcs Section and the Regular Polygon Window.
Minor Interface Changes
New in Version 2.3
Added a section to the main window for Arc Calculations
These include : Arc length and Angle and Segment Relationships when Secants and Tangents Intersect a circle.
New in Version 2.2.1
Fixed non-functional buttons in the metric-standard conversions for the Regular Polygon.
Added a calcuation for the number of diagonals for any regular polygon.
Added formulas to the Regular Polygon Window.
New in Version 2.2
Replaced the calculation for the regular hexagon to finding the area of any regular polygon.
Includes the calculation for the sum of the interior angles and for one of the angles of a regular polygon.
New in Version 2.1
Fixed a bug that caused an occasional error message when closing the application.
Added disclosure triangles for the metric/standard operations.
And the most important - transferred all versions of the software to a new server which hopefully will always be available. Those of you that have been trying to download this software but could not - Sorry about the inconvenience.
New in Version 2.0
Formula for the Diagonal of a Rectangular Prism added.
Formulas for 2D and 3D Distance between coordinates added.
Formula for circumference of a circle added.
Formula for perimeter of a rectangle added.
Error Messages displayed when user inputs a value less zero.
Conversions for common Standard-Standard, Metric-Standard, and Standard-Metric added.
New in Version 1.1
Added Macintosh Command-W to all figure windows.
Hitting Enter now calculates volume and surface area at the same time.
The formulas used to derive the calculations have been added to the windows.
URL in "About the Author" now links to default browser.
Now uses a more accurate value for Pi.
Calculation for Area of Circle Corrected.
Some minor interface issues with the Windows Version default System Font.
Correcting the mistake of not thanking my bride-to-be for putting up with me.
The last fix only applies to the readme file which few ever look at anyway.
